We work primarily in  developing countries in the agriculural sector.  

BOOSTING PRODUCTIVITY, ENHANCING RESILIENCE
With less than a degree of warming, the agriculture sector is already experiencing challenges from heat stress, droughts, flooding, pests and disease and other climate related impacts.    

Climate Smart Advisors helps farmers, NGOs, project developers, funders, governments and others boost productivity, increase resilience to climate shocks and, where possible, reduce emissions .  But as anyone in the field knows, there can be significant costs and trade-offs.  

Evaluating how to minimize trade-offs while maximizing synergies is essential but can’t be done without solid analytics, good project design, and follow-up monitoring and evaluation.  Climate Smart Advisors works exclusively on CSA with tools developed specifically designed for maximizing project impact and success.

WHERE WE WORK
The simple is answer is anywhere.  While we have typically worked on projects in developing countries in Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, we can also lend advising support to projects in the developed world.

ON THE GROUND AND IN THE FIELD
While spend a lot of crunching numbers and writing reports in front of the computer, our real passion is getting on the ground working directly with farmer communities.  We routinely do farmer trainings, workshops for extension agents, soil testing, establishment of demonstration and research plots, and other activities which get our hands dirty and working with the people who know the most about what works and what doesn’t on the ground level.
